Job summary

CTDI seeks an experienced warehouse operations leader to oversee all daily activities across multiple departments in the Joliet facility.

You will manage ~150 associates, drive efficiency, monitor KPIs, and ensure SLAs while coordinating with Corporate and customers.

The role includes daily P&L participation, inventory optimization, and strategic policy deployment. Competitive pay and full benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments within the branch to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Manage approximately 150 temporary and full-time associates.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on performance and progress of initiatives.
• Align department goals with financial objectives (revenue, OpEx, Gross Margin, NIAT).
• Communicate with Corporate management and customers to ensure SLAs and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement operational policies and standards to improve productivity.
• Participate in daily P&L calls with Corporate management.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock movements to minimize costs.
• Meet or exceed daily KPIs and report accurately.
• Lead and motivate warehouse staff with training and feedback.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and customer service to address needs.
• Engage in employee relations to maintain a positive work environment.
• Provide escalation support during shifts and coordinate with corporate resources.
• Utilize WMS and other tools for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational activities within the warehouse. This position will include focuses on optimizing efficiency, productivity, and profitability across various departments.

1st Shift: 8 :00 AM- 4:30 PM

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 (depending on level of prior experience) + monthly bonus potential + full benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) + 401(k)

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of multiple departments and functional areas within the branch to ensure smooth day to-day operations.
• Management of approximately 150 temporary and full time associates.
• Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance and progress of operational initiatives.
• Align department goals with financial objectives (revenue, OpEx, Gross Margin %, NIAT %, etc.).
• Communicates effectively with Corporate management and customers to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), meeting customer expectations, and promptly resolving any issues that may arise.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to streamline workflow, improve productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the financial performance, including participating in daily P&L calls with Corporate management
• Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize inventory management processes to minimize stock outs, overstock, and inventory holding costs.
• Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
• Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a positive and high-performing team culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate warehouse operations and address customer needs and requirements.
• Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
• Provide the next level of support for escalated issues during work shifts.
• Collaborates with Corporate to facilitate escalations involving corporate resources (IT, network, etc.) for troubleshooting or process improvement purposes.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory monitor performance metrics, and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-7+ years of management experience (preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced production, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing or service environment) including experience working with P&L/budgets.
• Demonstrates a track record of driving operational excellence and delivering measurable results.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, adept at skillfully communicating, inspiring, and exerting influence across all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on results and continuous improvement.
• Advanced understanding of Project Management principles and the criticality of deadline prioritization.
• Highly skilled in effectively managing a challenging workload, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and standards

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
• Experience in supervising temporary staff.
• Technical background.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field or equivalent work experience.
