Job summary

CTDI in Fairview, OR is seeking a Sr Operations Manager to oversee warehouse operations, drive efficiency, and coordinate multiple departments.

You will report to senior management, manage P&L, optimize inventory, and lead a team through cross-functional collaboration. The role requires 5-7+ years of management experience, WMS proficiency, and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversight of multiple departments and functional areas within the branch to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on performance and progress of initiatives.
• Communicate with Corporate management and customers to meet SLAs and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
• Oversee financial performance, including participating in daily P&L calls with Corporate management.
• Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize inventory management to minimize stockouts and holding costs.
• Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate warehouse operations and address customer needs and requirements.
• Address employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
• Support escalations during shifts and coordinate with Corporate resources for improvements.
• Utilize WMS and other tools to monitor performance and generate reports.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

Sr Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational activities within the warehouse. This position will include focuses on optimizing efficiency, productivity, and profitability across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of multiple departments and functional areas within the branch to ensure smooth day to-day operations.


• Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance and progress of operational initiatives.


• Communicates effectively with Corporate management and customers to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), meeting customer expectations, and promptly resolving any issues that may arise.


• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to streamline workflow, improve productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.


• Responsible for overseeing and managing the financial performance, including participating in daily P&L calls with Corporate management


• Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize inventory management processes to minimize stock outs, overstock, and inventory holding costs.


• Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.


• Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a positive and high-performing team culture.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate warehouse operations and address customer needs and requirements.


• Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.


• Provide the next level of support for escalated issues during work shifts.


• Collaborates with Corporate to facilitate escalations involving corporate resources (IT, network, etc.) for troubleshooting or process improvement purposes.


• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory monitor performance metrics, and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.


• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills And Experience

• 5-7+ years of management experience (preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced production, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing or service environment) including experience working with P&L/budgets.


• Demonstrates a track record of driving operational excellence and delivering measurable results.


• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, adept at skillfully communicating, inspiring, and exerting influence across all levels of the organization.


• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on results and continuous improvement.


• Advanced understanding of Project Management principles and the criticality of deadline prioritization.


• Highly skilled in effectively managing a challenging workload, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines


• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.


• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and MS Office.


• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and standards

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience working with UKG and Kronos


• Experience in supervising temporary staff


• Technical background.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field or equivalent work experience
