Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. You will identify and drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, logistics and ergonomics through data analysis, simulations, and Lean Six Sigma.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to develop capacity plans, work center layouts, and material flow strategies, while creating metrics, dashboards, and SOPs to scale our Terran R manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5+ years of industrial engineering experience with capacity planning, work center optimization, and operations management; demonstrated ability to independently own defined projects.
  • Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., A3, 8D, root cause analysis).
  • Skilled in data analysis using Excel and SQL; developing proficiency in visualization tools (PowerBI), 2D/3D design tools, and simulation software like FlexSim.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across technical and operations teams.

About the Team

Our Operations Engineering team is responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling the systems that power Terran R’s manufacturing operations. We drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery by integrating data-informed insights, lean methodologies, and innovative solutions into every stage of production. By enabling efficient, reliable, and flexible manufacturing processes, we empower our operations to execute at the highest level, ensure our hardware meets demanding performance standards, and support the rapid growth of our production system.

About the Role

About You

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, advanced analytics (e.g., machine learning, predictive modeling), or designing automated systems and data capture processes
  • Familiarity with green field site development, requirements gathering, or high-complexity assembly-driven manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with MODAPTS, MOST, or other labor/time study methodologies and proven ability to tackle ill-defined problems with scalable solutions

Hiring Range

$104,000 - $156,000 USD
