As a Sr. Nonprofit Human Services Underwriter, you will analyze, appraise, and assess exposures and risks for Nonprofit Human Service Organizations and Education Institutions to determine appropriate coverages and premiums. Accounts may include premiums up to $1,000,000.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver profitable outcomes on complex niche business through effective risk selection by analyzing, selecting, and pricing business with prescriptive coverage terms.
2. Examine inspection reports, locations, risks, financial data, and other reports to identify concerns.
3. Communicate with Risk Control for inspections and follow-ups.
4. Drive corrective actions on renewal accounts.
5. Escalate referrals needing higher-level review.
6. Adhere to service expectations and regulatory compliance.
7. Achieve key performance indicators including developing relationships with distribution partners, conducting portfolio reviews, and maintaining customer standards.
8. Cultivate a high-performing culture through customer service, mentoring, and training.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and make decisions promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting nonprofit human services or education accounts.
• Working towards or holding CPCU or industry equivalent certifications.

Compensation

• $78,600 - $131,000 based on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
• In certain states (CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, PA): $86,400 - $144,000 plus bonus.
