ITC Federal is seeking a Senior Network Systems Administrator to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network and system infrastructures for a large federal program. This role combines hands-on network administration with systems management, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical IT services.
The Senior Administrator will work as part of a high-performing team to manage network and server resources, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure systems meet operational, security, and mission requirements.
Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless solutions (primarily Cisco environments).
Install, configure, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage systems in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Monitor network and systems performance, implement tuning adjustments, and conduct routine maintenance to ensure high availability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, server, and security issues at Tier III/IV support levels.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise authentication services.
Apply patches, updates, and system hardening to maintain compliance with federal security standards (FISMA, NIST, etc.).
Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, engineering, and program management to support mission objectives.
Assist with the planning and execution of network/system upgrades, migrations, and other infrastructure projects.
Ensure network and system security through proactive monitoring and response to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
