Job Description

The Systems Engineer Senior IT is responsible for constructing detailed designs based on architectural guidance. This position serves as a subject matter expert and performs activities required for supporting secured IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with various Prime teams, vendors, clients, and others for the implementation and support of networking products and services.
• Contributing to Data Center and Enterprise LAN/WAN environments and overall network architecture and support strategy.
• Designing, engineering, and supporting data center, performance hub, and cloud routing.
• Collaborating with staff and departments to meet deadlines.
• Working with IT Security to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Documenting network infrastructure changes.
• Using ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience relevant to the team’s domain.
• 5 years of experience in Network routing/switching technologies.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with WAN technologies, Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ISR/ASR, Arista.
• Routing Technologies (BGP expertise).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to translate abstract concepts into deployment designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI).
• Previous experience in PBM/healthcare.
• Understanding security implications.
• ITIL Foundations Certification.

Physical Job Requirements

• Travel up to 10%.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
• Constantly sit, use hands, talk, hear; frequently reach; occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch.
• Lift/move up to 10 or 50 pounds as needed.
• Specific vision abilities required.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to a Manager in the IT department.

Potential pay ranges from $94,000 to $160,000 depending on experience and skills.
