Job summary

i270 Solutions Group LLC seeks a senior Network Engineer to own, design, and secure an enterprise network across Linux/Windows servers, Citrix, and security hardware. You will architect, implement, and optimize network solutions, and support mission-critical systems across a dispersed environment.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, DoDD 8140 compliance, and Security+ CE. Expect collaboration in an Agile team with a focus on secure, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph required.
• DoDD 8140 compliance; Security+ CE at minimum.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field.

The Program

This role supports a high-visibility technical program building the Model-Based Systems Engineering cloud platform — an environment for collecting, managing, and analyzing digital engineering information, architected to provide a seamless digital thread, enable tool interoperability, and structure data for AI applications. The program delivers engineering services across Linux and Windows cloud infrastructure, cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage, including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflows. The platform mixes open source, GOTS, and COTS software with cloud-native constructs, running secure-by-default with an infrastructure-as-code approach and governance policies throughout. The team values fast iteration and a customer-oriented approach without giving ground on security.

About the Role

You will own the network. That means router, switch, and firewall configuration and security management across an environment with equipment from several different manufacturers, alongside Windows and Linux servers, databases, Citrix, and security hardware and software.

You will plan and design network components and configurations so the team can monitor and manage the IT infrastructure end to end; engineer solutions that expand capacity, improve response time, and streamline operations; monitor and analyze mission-critical networks and servers; and run security management and application performance optimization across internal and customer systems.

What You Will Do

• Design, construct, test, and implement integrated network, hardware, and software solutions, distributed computing solutions, and physical and logical communications networks.
• Provide technical consulting on high-level network designs, platform sizing, infrastructure system design, and the application of new technologies.
• Write and execute detailed network implementations, including topology and rack elevation diagrams.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support on service requests and trouble tickets, including Move, Add, and Change requests for the enterprise transport.
• Provide network administration support for development, deployment, and problem identification and remediation across the enterprise network environment.
• Apply industry and enterprise knowledge to identify and recommend integrated solutions, products, and services that advance the customer's technical and mission goals.
• Assess the impact of system changes on the team and the infrastructure.
• Provide written and in-person status to leadership.
• Deliver as part of an Agile scrum team.

Required Qualifications

Clearance and certification

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph. Full scope polygraph is also accepted.
• DoDD 8140 compliance. Security+ CE certification at minimum.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field.

Network engineering — the core of the role

• Large-scale, geographically dispersed networks. Engineering, implementing, and maintaining unclassified and classified networks supporting 1,000 or more users.
• Software Defined Networking. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining SDN. Cisco technologies preferred.
• Strong documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years engineering, implementing, and maintaining classified networks supporting 1,000 or more users.
• CCNP Enterprise or higher; CCIE and CISSP are highly valued. Implementing Cisco SD-WAN Solutions (300-415 ENSDWI) is a strong signal for the SDN scope.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix virtual infrastructure.
• AWS or Microsoft Azure.
