Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an expert Network Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Tulsa, OK. The position focuses on Cisco wireless, SD-WAN, and core networking, with hands-on responsibilities across 9800 controllers, APs, WAN Edge onboarding, and ISE/DNS/DHCP disciplines.

The ideal candidate has expert level experience with CCNA/CCNP and a track record delivering reliable Wi‑Fi and SD‑WAN solutions at scale, across multiple sites in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Expert level experience with Cisco wireless and network design.
• Hands-on with 9800 series controllers and APs.
• Experience with SD-WAN and large site deployments.

Responsibilities

• 60% Cisco wireless design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• 25% Cisco SD-WAN implementation and onboarding at 670+ sites.
• 15% core networking, including ISE, DNS/DHCP.

SCOPE

• ~60% Cisco wireless — 9800 controller and AP fleet, Catalyst Center, wireless security, RF design, client troubleshooting, Wi‑Fi scorecard.
• ~25% Cisco SD‑WAN — 670+ site footprint: WAN Edge onboarding, policy and segmentation, branch turn‑up, on‑call.
• ~15% core networking — campus LAN and routing, ISE, DNS/DHCP, Ivanti change and CMDB discipline.

• 6 months — Tangible WiFi stability improvements, consolidations done; telemetry verified; Wi‑Fi scorecard published.
• 9 months — Dallas and Ashburn hub wireless delivered on the RNB schedule; runbooks complete.
• 12 months — incident volume down vs. baseline; Chicago and Seattle done; SD‑WAN backup coverage in place.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
