Senior Network Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex networking challenges, designing solutions from the ground up, and working directly with customers. This is a hands-on design and implementation role where you’ll have the opportunity to take projects from initial requirements gathering and solution architecture through implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation. You’ll serve as a technical resource for both internal teams and customers, working across enterprise networking, wireless, cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, and network security. If you enjoy having ownership of your projects and being the person customers turn to for technical expertise, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Design & Architecture
- Partner with customers and business stakeholders to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and goals.
- Develop network solutions and detailed technical designs based on those requirements.
- Create clear technical documentation, network diagrams, architecture specifications, and implementation plans.
- Ensure solutions follow networking best practices and applicable compliance standards.
- Keep network architecture, configurations, and project documentation accurate and up to date.
Network Engineering
- Design, implement, and optimize LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-based network environments.
- Configure and deploy complex networking solutions utilizing Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Evaluate network hardware and software and make recommendations based on customer needs and business objectives.
- Conduct proof-of-concept testing and help determine which emerging technologies are worth implementing.
- Stay current with evolving networking technologies and identify opportunities to improve customer environments.
Network Security
- Design and implement security measures that protect customer networks, systems, and data.
- Establish and enforce network security policies and access controls.
- Monitor network environments for potential security issues and help address vulnerabilities before they become incidents.
- Stay informed on emerging threats and security best practices.
Troubleshooting & Customer Support
- Provide advanced remote and on-site troubleshooting and fault isolation for customers and field engineers.
- Diagnose complex network issues across infrastructure, connectivity, routing, wireless, and security environments.
- Clearly communicate technical findings, recommendations, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing responsive, knowledgeable technical support.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with dynamic routing protocols.
- 5+ years of experience with Aruba switching and wireless technologies.
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN solutions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, and security.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly Preferred Experience with Aruba ClearPass.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Nice to Have Relevant professional networking or security certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Why You’ll Enjoy This Role
This is an opportunity to do more than simply manage tickets or maintain an existing network. You’ll have ownership of customer projects and solutions, giving you the chance to apply your technical expertise across the full project lifecycle. You’ll work with a variety of technologies and environments, collaborate directly with customers, and have the autonomy to make meaningful technical recommendations. It’s a great fit for someone who wants to be a trusted technical advisor and hands-on engineering resource, rather than simply another engineer in a queue.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to customer sites throughout the region. Because customer relationships are an important part of the business, there will be opportunities to work directly with customers in person.
