Sr. Network Engineer – Remote (must live in US Mountain or Pacific Time Zone)

Overview

TWE Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our remote engineering team. We deliver complex MSP and VAR solutions to mid-market and large enterprises with demanding networking challenges. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructures across hybrid environments.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

5+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise LAN/WAN and data center networks.
Hands-on expertise with Arista or Cisco switching and routing platforms.
Strong experience with Azure Networking (3+ years).
Proven experience leading and delivering complex networking projects end-to-end.
Proficiency in scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python, or equivalent.
5+ years of Level 3 support in high-availability, mission-critical network environments.
Experience optimizing routing, switching, and QoS in physical/cloud networks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Demonstrated commitment to customer success and solution excellence.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Design and implement enterprise-grade network infrastructure across client environments.
Deploy and manage Azure-based networking solutions and cloud connectivity.
Evaluate and optimize performance of routing/switching platforms.
Work with Arista, Cisco, and other networking platforms to build scalable, redundant topologies.
Lead network-centric projects from scoping to execution, collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Perform proactive system checks, firmware updates, and lifecycle maintenance.
Document designs, configurations, and SOPs with clarity and precision.
Provide escalated Level 3 support for network incidents and ensure root cause resolution.
Participate in an on-call rotation and deliver critical after-hours support when required.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with SD-WAN solutions or NAC deployments.
Experience with architecting/designing secure enterprise environments (firewall, endpoint/cloud security monitoring, etc.)
Previous MSP or consulting background.
Exposure to Zero Trust networking strategies.
