Job summary

Foxhole Technology seeks an experienced Senior Network Administrator to support the design, maintenance, and security of enterprise networks for federal civilian and defense clients. You will work within DoD-aligned environments, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance with RMF and STIG standards across multiple enclaves.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with TS eligibility.
• 8+ years as a Network Administrator.
• Hands-on with Juniper and Cisco equipment.
• Experience with BGP/OSPF, VLAN design.
• Knowledge of RMF, STIGs and NIST 800-53.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert (e.g., Security+).
• Strong leadership and cross-functional teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with Government.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (Juniper and Cisco).
• Design and maintain routing, switching, VLANs (BGP, OSPF).
• Implement VMware-based virtual networking environments.
• Deploy and maintain Palo Alto firewalls per DoD requirements.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security across enclaves.
• Apply ITIL/ITSM/ITAM best practices to manage services and assets.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align with DoD RMF, STIGs, and NIST.
• Support Tier II/III troubleshooting, diagnostics, and incident response.
• Maintain detailed configuration documentation and network diagrams.

Foxhole Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our growing team . This position will be part of a high-performing team supporting the design, maintenance, and security of enterprise network systems.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure using Juniper and Cisco hardware.
• Design and maintain complex network routing and switching environments, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 configurations.
• Implement and support VMware-based virtual networking environments and integrated services.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls in compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network systems across multiple enclaves.
• Apply best practices from the ITIL framework to manage IT services and assets (ITSM/ITAM).
• Analyze hardware, software, and networking needs to support system development and integration efforts.
• Perform site surveys and collaborate with stakeholders to document requirements, data sources, and system specifications.
• Conduct validation testing and develop documentation to support operations and compliance. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with DoD, RMF, and STIG standards.
• Support Tier II/III troubleshooting efforts, network diagnostics, and incident response tasks.
• Maintain detailed configuration documentation and network diagrams.
• Minimum Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance with Eligibility for TS
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Network Administrator
• Hands-on experience with: Juniper and Cisco networking equipment, Routing protocols: BGP and OSPF, Switching, VLAN design, and configuration, VMware networking components, firewall administration and rule management
• Solid understanding of network segmentation, security zones, and access control
• Familiarity with DoD network compliance standards, including RMF, STIGs, and NIST 800-53
• Must have a current DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II approved certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+ CE)
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities with Government and cross-functional teams
