Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking a Network Administrator to support, analyze, and document an Enterprise WAN/LAN/WLAN across corporate offices, stores, and distribution centers. Installs, configures, and maintains all network hardware and software to meet network performance requirements of the company.

Diagnoses, resolves and documents hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring minimal downtime. Provide end user training, consulting, and assistance as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology related discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years Network Administration experience.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and Aruba AOS.
  • Experience with SNMP-based monitoring.
  • Proficiency in multiple routing, switching, security, wireless, and WAN protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT Staff to create optimal network performance and configurations.
  • Provide system support for cabling and networking hardware/software.
  • Maintain routers, switches, WLAN controllers, VPNs, and PBX systems.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts.
  • Maintain security solutions including firewall, IPS, and VPNs.
  • Document procedures, manuals, and guides for network installations.
  • Respond to emergency outages and on-site analyses as needed.
  • Manage network projects to meet objectives on time and within budget.

Overview

Job Summary

Supports, analyzes, and documents an Enterprise WAN/LAN/WLAN focused on corporate offices, stores, and distribution centers. Installs, configures, and maintains all network hardware and software to meet network performance requirements of the company. Diagnoses, resolves and documents hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring minimal downtime. Provide end user training, consulting, and assistance as required. Will manage IT network projects at times. Consistently provides world class customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other related work.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT Staff to create optimal network performance and configurations.
  • Provide system support for all aspects of cabling and networking hardware and software products.
  • Maintain all network hardware and software including routers, switches, WLAN controllers, VPNs, and PBX’s.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts as necessary.
  • Maintain security solutions, including firewall, intrusion prevention systems and VPN’s.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedure manuals, and help guides for network installations.
  • Respond to emergency network outages.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of common network problems for hardware and software solutions.
  • Conduct automated routine updates to network infrastructure configurations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery plan executables.
  • Participate in incident response for network or security related instances.
  • Provide guidance and training to IT Staff as required.
  • Manage assigned projects to deliver services that meet established objectives on time and within budget.
  • Work with end users and department heads to identify, maintain and document network service levels.
  • Be on-call to respond to emergency network outages

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors in a technology related discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • At least 4 years Network Administration experience.
  • Applying technical knowledge of network operating systems Cisco IOS and Aruba AOS.
  • Administration of SNMP MIB based network monitoring system.
  • Applying technical knowledge in at least three of the following five areas: network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VRRP); switching protocols LaCP, PaGP, Etherchannel); security protocols (IPSec, GRE, 802.1x); wireless 802.11a/b/g/n; WAN protocols (DMVPN, MPLS).
  • Exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Implementing secure network segmentation through VLAN technologies.
  • Effectively utilizing Netflow to diagnose high level network issues.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:

  • 3 years Retail Grocery Experience
  • CCNA, ACMA
  • CCNP, ACMP
