Construction Association of Michigan is seeking a Sr. Naval Architect Marine Engineer to provide technical solutions and project leadership in naval architecture and marine engineering. The role requires overseeing professionals, guiding complex analyses and coordinating with clients and regulators.
The incumbent will manage budgets, schedules and project tasks while maintaining high-quality drawings, specifications and reports for vessel projects and surveys.

Expertise and experience to provide technical solutions and project management for our clients in all aspects of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. Works independently (with minimal supervision) and leads/manages naval architects, junior naval architects and marine engineers on project teams.

Naval Architect and Marine Engineering degree or equivalent and a minimum of at least 10 years direct industry experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of recent versions of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD and GHS.
Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
Supervises engineers and draftsman on various engineering jobs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
