Position Specific Description

This Proprietary Natural Gas Trader is responsible for building and trading NextEra Energy Marketing’s physical gas portfolio in thePermian and Southwest region.Proprietary Traders apply a high level of competency in trading strategies, pipeline rules, physical market knowledge, financial products, and regulatory policies.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Performing individual research
• Deal entry management
• Monthly reconciliations
• Transacting physical gas, transport, storage, and financial basis
• Creating markets for origination and asset optimization groups
• Applying knowledge of Texas and Southwest natural gas infrastructure
• Managing a profitable proprietary trading book

Individuals in this role may be responsible for after-hours and weekend work on an as-needed basis.
