Overview

This position is fully remote and is located in the northeastern region of the United States.

We are hiring a Risk Control Representative who will focus on our large fleet motor carriers and our captive members. We are looking for someone who wants to take their Risk Control knowledge to the next level and partner with our largest insureds to make an impact.

In this role, you will consult with the management teams of our insured customers to recommend and analyze risk control strategic initiatives and techniques. Our Risk Control Representatives are critical to the success of Great West’s business development to fulfill our commitment to being the premier insurance provider in every segment of business we write.

You will work alongside our National Accounts team to acquire and retain profitable accounts by evaluating risks and exposures. Additionally, you will partner with our current and potential insureds to develop strategies to mitigate risk. You will have the opportunity to put your analytical mindset to work as you evaluate loss trends and safety needs.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with management teams of insured customers to recommend and analyze risk control initiatives and techniques.
  • Collaborate with the National Accounts team to acquire and retain profitable accounts by evaluating risks and exposures.
  • Develop strategies with insureds to mitigate risk and evaluate loss trends and safety needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional-level experience with motor carrier fleet operations, insurance risk management, or safety consulting to the motor carrier industry.
  • Safety certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Leadership experience in safety, operations, or risk management.
  • Adept in networking, building relationships, negotiating, and problem-solving.
  • Enjoy coaching, education, giving public presentations, and approaching work with a consultative mindset.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent public speaking skills.
  • Self-starter, organized, analytical, professional, and committed to excellence.
