General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to their Loyalty platforms through high-quality application design and development. This role centers on MuleSoft API development and will impact customer engagement significantly.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in .NET Core and cloud-based application deployment. This hybrid position requires hands-on coding and architectural expertise to support critical applications. Consumer Digital Experiences (CDE) is responsible for delivering high quality web and mobile platforms for consumer engagement with GM brands, vehicles, and sales. Loyalty is part of the CDE area. We build front‑end applications, individual services and platforms‑as‑a‑service, integration services, ensuring the best reuse across multiple lines of business. We use agile methodologies to validate hypotheses and GM's proven 5‑star approach to optimize performance, security, and total cost of ownership.
This position is with the Loyalty tech team helping build GM's Loyalty platforms with world‑class earn/redeem experiences to increase advocacy and engagement of our customers. This critical hands‑on role will concentrate on the overall web and integration design and development for the range of products under the GM Loyalty umbrella.
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of apps developed. You will work with other IT staff to ensure the highest degree of functionality and reliability of our application and infrastructure. This position requires an individual who is hands‑on in MuleSoft API development with API‑Led architecture, .NET Core or Java development using Spring Boot for web services, and Angular or React front‑end web development is a plus. The individual must be detail‑oriented, able to adapt under stressful conditions, multitask, and possess solid technical communication and customer service skills.
