Job summary

BECU is seeking a Sr Mortgage Loan Processor to guide members through the mortgage lending journey across conventional, FHA, VA, and Jumbo loans. You will ensure accurate processing and timely closing while upholding BECU's standards and policies.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong judgment, and collaboration with internal partners to deliver a smooth member experience in a primarily remote/onsite hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience processing conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo loans.
• Knowledge of TRID requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Protect the integrity of every loan and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Review documentation and AUS findings, verify data accuracy, and manage file setup in the loan origination system.

PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $31.92-$38.85 hourly. The full Pay Range is $24.76-$46.06 hourly.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

As a Sr Mortgage Loan Processor, you'll play a critical role in helping members move confidently through the mortgage lending journey. You'll use your expertise in conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, and BECU portfolio loans to ensure files are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable requirements. Your attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to navigate complex loan conditions will help create a smooth experience for members and internal partners while keeping each loan on track for closing.

You'll be trusted to evaluate documentation, identify and resolve conditions, manage critical timelines, and make informed decisions throughout the processing lifecycle. From reviewing automated underwriting findings and property documentation to completing BKI, COC, and Early Closing Disclosure requirements under TRID, your work will directly contribute to quality lending decisions and an exceptional member experience.

To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, NC, SC, GA, or VA. If you're located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week. For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance to TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be primarily remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Protect the integrity of every loan: Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
• Keep files accurate and complete: Review Automated Underwriting System (AUS) findings to include all red flags, verification messages/approval conditions. Set up files on loan origination systems. Verify the accuracy and integrity of all loan data entered into the system including but not limited to names, addresses, government monitoring information, loan information (i.e. loan amount, interest, terms, lock-in expiration
