Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Product Test & Calibration technician for the night shift (11:00 pm–7:00 am, Tuesday to Saturday) to operate and troubleshoot injection molding equipment. You will set up production floors, monitor kanban levels, and assist engineering with molding validations to ensure quality and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The role requires experience with injection molding, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with injection molding processes with polypropylene and polyethylene resins preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Process injection molding machines to run mold processes within validated parameters.
• Troubleshoot injection molding processes using scientific molding techniques.
• Setup the production floor and monitor kanban/shop order levels.
• Assist engineering with molding validations following the company procedures and using scientific molding techniques.
• Attend tier meetings and effectively communicate floor needs to the management team in order to make production goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Set molds in machines when needed safely using a hoist and the proper clamping method.
• Assist in root cause investigations for any quality defect issues on the floor.

***What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health*** Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment.
