Sierra Nevada Corporation in Florida seeks a Senior Mission Systems Operator (MSO) / Airborne Mission Commander (AMC) to support overseas missions, operate radar and MX-15 camera tech, and apply ORM and CRM in high-stakes environments.

You will work with ISR and aviation teams, require 10+ years of experience, and possess a Secret U.S. security clearance; travel internationally and deploy on a 60/30 rotation schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Advanced CRM and airmanship experience is required.
  • 1000 hours of flight time in fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Knowledge of ARC-231, PRC-167, and SSDL radio functionality.
  • Experience with RADAR theory and MX15HDi camera technology.
  • Current FAA Class II medical.
  • Active US security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Operate airborne sensor equipment (RADAR and MX-15) to acquire, track, and monitor objects of interest.
  • Apply ORM and CRM principles in overseas missions and dynamic target area searches.
  • Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties as required.

Are you a seasoned mission systems operator looking for a meaningful work environment that supports and protects heroes? Join our team! As a Senior Mission Systems Operator (MSO)/Airborne Mission Commander (AMC), you will be using your skills and expertise to support our overseas operational missions using Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. You'll be responsible for operating our airborne sensor equipment, primarily RADAR and MX-15 technologies, to acquire, track, and monitor airborne, ground, and/or maritime objects of interest in routine and dynamic target area searches and performing pre-flight, inflight, and post-flight duties. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Related experience, including military training, may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Advanced experience with Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Airmanship.
  • 1000 hours of flight time in fixed wing aircraft.
  • Knowledge of ARC-231, PRC-167, Small Secure Datalink (SSDL) radio functionality.
  • Experience with the practical application of RADAR Theory and MX15HDi camera technology.
  • Current FAA Class II physical.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Ability to deploy for an approximate 60/30 rotation.
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment.
  • Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment.
  • Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Maritime experience
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Experience with Windows 10 Falcon View or Force Map technology
  • Prior experience as a CRM/ORM Instructor
