Job summary

ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION LLC is seeking a senior BI specialist to design and implement Power BI solutions. You will build complex dashboards, optimize data models, and apply RLS across reports and workspaces while ensuring data governance and secure access.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop dataflows/datamarts, and integrate Power BI with Power Apps, Automate, SharePoint and Dataverse to enable scalable analytics for government-related data and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in business intelligence and information management.
• 4+ years in data visualization and high-value BI solutions across multi-environment infrastructures.
• 5+ years in client-facing technical roles.
• Expert knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, data marts, data governance, and KPI reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions using Microsoft Power BI tool suite and related technologies.
• Develop interactive dashboards with parameters, actions, and navigation for ease of use.
• Create dataflows or datamarts and design composite models for robust BI.
• Design reports including paginated reports and apply Row Level Security (RLS).
• Integrate Power BI with PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Dataverse.
• Manage data gateways, usage reports, and administration of Power BI environments.
• Develop scalable, high-performing BI solutions and communicate technical details to business teams.

Job Duties:

• Implement solutions using Microsoft Power BI tool suite and related technologies
• Proficient in developing complex of Data Analytics Expressions (DAX) and M (Power) Queries
• Experience with developing interactive dashboards -e.g., parameters, actions, navigation -for ease-of-use.
• Proficient in creating dataflows or datamarts
• Experience with designing composite models
• Experience with report builder and developing paginated reports
• Experience with applying roles and Row Level Security (RLS) to Reports, Apps and workspaces
• Experience integrating customized automated solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Dataverse with Power BI
• Understand the administrative functions for Power BI, Managing data gateway, usage report etc.
• Leverage database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial, and operational analysis and/or reporting
• Develop high performing, reliable, and scalable solutions
• Optimize performance on new and existing data models Clearly communicate technical details to business and management staff
• Perform data analysis which supports and enhances OIG information management systems and services
• Experience with one or more data technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, etc.) and a willingness to learn how to leverage these technologies to improve business intelligence
• Author and oversee design documents for approved projects
• Develop, publish and, schedule reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics using existing and emerging technologies and tools
• Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members in the use of Microsoft Power BI and related technologies
• Provide insight and recommendations on new and emerging technologies and concepts to OCIO team members
• Eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence and/or information management
• 4+ years of experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions; experience performing administrative activities across multi-environment infrastructures
• 5+ years of experience working in a client-facing technical role
• Expert knowledge of data management, business intelligence and analytics concepts including:
• o Extract, transform, load (ETL)
• o Data warehousing, data marts, data stores, and cubes
• o Data quality and profiling
• o Data governance, data management, and metadata management
• o Data visualization, dashboard design / implementation, reporting, self-service BI, data KPIs, and scorecards
• o Predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics
• Proficiency in one or more languages like:
• o SQL
• o SAS
• o R
• o Python

Desired Experience

• Experience with Government software development policies and procedures

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field OR possess a PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification or equivalent
