Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead warehouse systems and process improvement across locations. You will manage the Slotting, Analyst, and Mission Control teams, drive Lean/DMAIC initiatives, and partner with Inventory, Operations and Facilities to deliver measurable savings and improved performance.

You will oversee 24/7 shipping/receiving operations and support WMS enhancements, automation projects, and re-slot initiatives, with travel required to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of project management / process improvement experience, preferably in supply chain.
• Advanced knowledge with data analysis and basic statistics; SQL required, SPSC, hypothesis testing desired.

Position Overview

The Sr. Manager, Warehouse Systems will lead process improvement activities for assigned locations including identifying and quantifying opportunities, processing data analysis, successfully executing project management and solution implementation delivering sustained controlled results. Successfully leveraging Lean/DMAIC tools and processes to drive next generation productivity improvements, while supporting all channels of business. This role will directly engage with customers / partners to implement solutions that improve the customer experience.

• Oversee the Slotting team, Analyst team, and Mission Control teams supporting the 24/7 shipping and receiving operation with multiple customers. Be an effective leader and ensure staffing coverage and long term succession planning for these critical groups.




• Deliver Results as ONE Team – Analyze operations to identify, quantify and prioritize actionable areas of opportunity. Develop business cases (problem definition, establishing baselines, KPIs and financial impacts, etc.) for potential projects. Engage stakeholders cross functionally ensuring alignment and support for projects. Facilitate process improvement activities (e.g. Kaizen). Accountable for driving projects and achieving results. Propagate continuous improvement methodology / techniques / mindset across the organization as part of the Supply Chain Center of Excellence.




• Engage with Inventory, Operations, and Facilities partners to determine performance challenges and business needs. Work with Finance operations to ensure financial savings models are vetted, clear, concise and detailed where needed and be the site leader for steering the team and its resources towards the opportunities.




• Participate in facility business reviews, providing insight and feedback on how venues can evolve to drive further performance improvements. Be innovative and teach the organization to think differently and celebrate great results. Be resilient and courageous by speaking up frequently and candidly to be perceived as open.




• Support all warehouse system changes including WMS enhancements and configuration projects, warehouse automation projects and lead all major building re-slot initiatives.

• 5-7 : Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required, experience with other data systems / software strongly desired (MS Access, Sequel Server, Hyperion, Minitab, MS Project, MS SharePoint, etc.)




• 5-7 : Warehouse or transportation management experience (including related ERP system) desired
