Verizon in West Des Moines, IA, seeks a store leader to own day-to-day store operations, drive high-performance sales, and deliver an exceptional customer and employee experience. You will build and mentor a sales team, hire and train staff, and implement sales strategies across the store.

You'll manage inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while collaborating with senior leadership to align with company vision.

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Management experience in a commission-based sales environment.

What you'll be doing...

• You will have a high level of accountability for all retail store functions and for communicating and implementing the company vision through directing the day-to-day activities of the entire store staff. You will be driving for high-performance results within a fast-paced, demanding solutions sales environment and focusing on optimizing customer and employee experience are at the forefront of your responsibilities.
• Building, developing and mentoring your sales team.
• Provide h iring, performance management and ongoing sales training and support for your team to exceed sales, retention, quality and service objectives.
• Engaging in sales strategy development to ensure our products and services are effectively showcased throughout the store.
• Developing and implementing sales tools and initiatives.
• Maintaining the operations of your store by running retail inventory compliance.
• Engaging in budgeting, forecasting, analyzing and providing sales reports.
• Provides solutions of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

• Management experience in a commission-based sales environment.
