Job summary

Lam Research in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a senior leader to manage and develop a team of field process engineers supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing. You will mentor, drive performance, and coordinate with engineering, product development, and operations to deliver reliable service and continuous improvement.

The role requires 6–8 years of management experience and 7–10 years of etch experience, with strong communication across diverse teams and customers.

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customersupport throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, andquality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutionsfor their most critical equipment and processes.

The impact you’ll make

• Oversees the technical support of company customers by field engineers, technicians, and support specialists, who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing one or more of the following: complex electro/mechanical equipment, sophisticated computer systems, software systems/applications, or networking and wireless networking systems.
• Supervises engineers that respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in non-functioning equipment systems or software.
• Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering and software development on design, reliability and maintenance issues.
• Ensures that engineers are current with the latest upgrades and/or new releases.
• May be involved in customer installation and training programs.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• Drive knowledge sharing, technical training, and best practice adoption across the field organization.Support customer installations, process optimization initiatives, and technical training programs as needed.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of management experience. An advanced degree preferred.
• 7 to 10 years etch experience preferred
• Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, reacting to shifting priorities, and meeting business needs and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, customers, and partners.
• Collaborative mindset in matrixed environment.
