JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Sr. Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems. This role requires expertise in data engineering, programming, and coding with PySpark and Object-Oriented techniques. The Sr. Data Engineer will work on ingesting, transforming, and loading data into a dimensional model to enable analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data pipelining.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark for data integration, transformation, and storage.
2. Create and maintain data models based on business requirements to support reporting and analytics, ensuring data quality and consistency.
3. Develop data security solutions aligned with legal, compliance, and business needs.
4. Collaborate with DataOps to ensure pipeline accuracy and timely data delivery.
5. Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
6. Implement data validation and monitoring to maintain data integrity.
7. Troubleshoot data issues and act as L3 support for data products.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and mentor team members to enhance skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in data engineering, focusing on data pipelines and systems.
• Proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks and databases.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, quality, and governance.
• Experience with ETL, data warehousing, and data integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

SKILLS

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of MLOps and DataOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
