Location/Division Specific Information:

Grand Island, NY-Biologicals and Chemicals Division (BCD). Manufacturing facility producing liquid and powder media and developing cell culture cell therapies.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The candidate will be responsible for the production and facilities equipment at the Grand Island Facility. The Facility is a class 2 medical device manufacturer of liquids and dry powder media in cleanroom environments.

A Day in the Life:

M-F 2nd Shift

  • The candidate will be responsible for the day to day troubleshooting of production and facilities equipment as well as Preventive Maintenance and projects to support Engineering.
  • The candidate will have a knowledge of pneumatics, electromechanical technology, mechanical proficiency, and experience with Allen-Bradley controls.
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining the mechanicals for all daily operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Respond to utility and equipment-related alarms and maintenance issues during manufacturing campaigns.
  • Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
  • Identify areas of potential improvement to operational performance and compliance.
  • Uphold safety procedures and safe practices.
  • The role will also be responsible for providing general maintenance support for new processing equipment, installations, and modifications to existing equipment.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field.
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Automation knowledge – PLCS.
  • Program logic control knowledge.
  • Practical knowledge of GMP’s and working in an SOP environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Ability to aseptically gown.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $25.58–$32.73.
