Summary: The Field Metering organization is focused on ensuring our customers' usage data is accurately captured with timely delivery to PG&E's billing and grid monitoring systems. Our field teams are supported by Quality and Training personnel, as well as a dedicated Dispatch and Scheduling operation. Additional activities include:

• The safe and efficient execution of all customer maintenance and compliance work related to PG&E's electric meters, metering systems, and SmartMeter modules
• Inspect New Customer Facilities prior to connection and Install Electric Meters and Complex Metering System
• Maintain Company SmartMeter end point infrastructure - installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, field testing, remediation, and removal
• Manually reads legacy meters and un-transitioned SmartMeters
• Building customer trust and knowledge by meeting our commitments and providing knowledgeable, courteous, and complete service on every job
• Delivering Fee-for-Service Metering Activities upon request for PG&E customers
• Performing In-Field High Bill Investigations and Credit Activities when necessary

PG&E provides the salary range based on local market conditions and internal factors. The estimated salary range for this role is:

• Bay Area: $102,000 - $152,000
• California (excluding Bay Area): $97,000 - $144,000

The actual salary will depend on skills, education, experience, and other factors. The successful candidate is expected to be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex and unique metering projects, including modifying existing inspection methods or developing new tools.
• Present recommendations for complex issues to management for review and approval.
• Participate on cross-functional project teams related to Field Metering.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Degree or GED
• 3 years managing technical or construction projects
• Experience with electric and gas meters
• Troubleshooting and electric metering programming skills

Desired:

• Strong communication and solution-brokering skills with customers and internal teams
• Project management skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CC&B, Business Objects, ENOS, and other systems
• Ability to lead small teams and develop findings and recommendations
• Knowledge of NEMS, green book requirements, and process improvements
