Position : Senior Merchandise Planner (2) Salary : Negotiable

DUTIES :

The Senior Merchandise Planner partners with the Buyers and Merchandise Planning and Analytics Manager to maximize sales, profitability and returns on inventory of a given area of business through the development and implementation of a strategy, analysis and appropriate reaction to sales trend. Plans, forecasts, and replenishes merchandise for stores.

Works under the general supervision of the Merchandise Planning and Analytics Manager to provide support and analyze financial performance using tools in the ERP system to ensure established goals are being met and takes appropriate corrective action when necessary.

Operates independently within the framework of CSC policies, procedures, and regulations. Exercises independent judgment and approach in routine and non-routine situations. Consults with supervisor on such issues as policy matters, deviations from normal procedures or unusual situations. Maintains professionalism and courteous behavior at all times, works as a team player, and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Performance is evaluated on operational performance, skills evaluations, customer service, collaboration and teamwork, leadership and established individual performance objectives.

Works closely with Buyer and Merchandise Planning and Analytics Manager to determine and execute automated methods of replenishment to drive sales and profitability.

Maintains collaborative partnerships with internal and external colleagues. Occasional travel required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

1. High school diploma or GED.

2. Total of 5 years’ experience to include 3 years of buying, allocation / replenishment, retail / wholesale planning or technical experience in a multi-store operation and 2 years general experience in merchandising, administrative or other work which enabled the applicant to gain knowledge of merchandising and procurement practices.

3. Demonstrated leadership experience.

4. Advanced EXCEL skills.

5. Experience with business analysis.

6. Experience in a Merchandise Information Systems.

Preferred (in addition to the minimum) :

7. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with emphasis in retail, business administration, or

related field.

8. 2+ years retail experience in a multi-store operation as a Buyer, Planner, Allocator, Replenishment

Associate or Associate / Assistant Buyer.

9. One year supervisory experience.

10. 2 + years retail Merchandise Information System experience in a multi-store environment.

11. 1+ year retail Merchandise Planning System experience in a multi-store environment.
