SiTime Corporation, a leader in MEMS timing solutions, seeks a MEMS Development Engineer to design and characterize MEMS devices and advance automated design infrastructure. You will work on device physics, materials, and fabrication while collaborating with multiple functional teams to meet strategic goals.

The role emphasizes experimental design, data analysis, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in ME/EE/Physics or equivalent required.
• Ability to design, run, and analyze MEMS experiments.
• Knowledge of MEMS fundamentals and device physics.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Job Summary

Join the team that is revolutionizing the timing industry with the best silicon Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) timing products in the world. As a MEMS Development Engineer, you will use your technical and creative problem-solving skills to design, characterize, improve MEMS devices and build SiTime’s next generation of MEMS products. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Design MEMS devices and characterize the electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance.
• Extend and enhance automated infrastructure for MEMS design, data collection and analysis.
• Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials and fabrication.
• Interface with local and overseas vendors.
• Work in cross-functional teams, including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging.
• Drive and/or support projects and other company goals as needed.
• Working/supporting other projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics, or equivalent
• Skilled scientist with ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics.
• Knowledge in fundamentals of MEMS devices.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Characteristics & Attributes:

• 1+ years of industry experience
• Basic knowledge of programing languages, circuits, metrology equipment and methods.
• Knowledge of finite element simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS) and signal processing tools (Matlab).
