Job summary

SiTime is seeking a MEMS Development Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI to design and characterize MEMS devices, improve MEMS performance, and help build SiTime's next generation of timing products. You will work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics, or equivalent is required or highly desirable; strong experimental design, data analysis, and collaboration skills are essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics, or equivalent.
• Strong experimental design and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of MEMS devices and device physics.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design MEMS devices and characterize electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance.
• Extend and enhance automated infrastructure for MEMS design, data collection and analysis.
• Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials and fabrication.
• Interface with local and overseas vendors.
• Work in cross-functional teams including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging.
• Drive and/or support projects and other company goals as needed.
• Support other projects as needed.

Job Summary

Join the team that is revolutionizing the timing industry with the best silicon Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) timing products in the world. As a MEMS Development Engineer, you will use your technical and creative problem‑solving skills to design, characterize, improve MEMS devices and build SiTime’s next generation of MEMS products. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Design MEMS devices and characterize the electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance.
• Extend and enhance automated infrastructure for MEMS design, data collection and analysis.
• Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials and fabrication.
• Interface with local and overseas vendors.
• Work in cross-functional teams, including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging.
• Drive and/or support projects and other company goals as needed.
• Working/supporting other projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics, or equivalent
• Skilled scientist with ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics.
• Knowledge in fundamentals of MEMS devices.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional results.

Desired Characteristics & Attributes

• 1+ years of industry experience
• Basic knowledge of programing languages, circuits, metrology equipment and methods.
• Knowledge of finite element simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS) and signal processing tools (Matlab).
