Job summary

Datrose is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer for our Allentown, NJ location in the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 10+ years in project or applications engineering with strong customer-facing skills. You will lead discussions, translate requirements into technical docs, coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams, and ensure sales orders include complete specifications.

Qualifications

• BSs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
• 10+ years of experience in project engineering, applications engineering, or technical project management.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Experience working with production/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with customers to clarify requirements, specifications, and performance expectations
• Translate customer needs into detailed engineering documentation, scope definitions, and internal work instructions
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, production planning, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and achievable
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and internal standards
• Ensure sales orders are accurately entered with complete technical details, configurations, and customer requirements
• Lead regular update meetings with customers and internal teams, providing clear status reports, action items, and timelines
