Position Overview

We seek a hands-on Sr. Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical enclosures and electromechanical components, ensuring compliance with medical standards and optimizing system performance. This full-time onsite role is based in Los Gatos, CA.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop enclosures and electromechanical components for medical devices.
2. Perform mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic analysis and testing.
3. Collaborate with vendors and external industrial designers for seamless integration.
4. Develop technical documentation supporting design control and regulatory submissions.
5. Participate in design reviews, train operators, and troubleshoot assembly issues.
6. Design and build bench test systems, analyze data, and ensure EMC/EMI compliance.

Skills & Experience

• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS), with experience in rapid prototyping and using electronic test equipment.
• Strong understanding of medical industry standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCB layout tools (Altium), multi-physics simulation (COMSOL, ANSYS), and basic machine shop skills.
• Successful history of clinical product launches and startup environment experience.

Qualifications
