Leoforce in Cheyenne, WY seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our location in a hybrid role. You will hold a Wyoming PE license (or reciprocity) and bring 6–15 years of HVAC and plumbing design experience on complex facilities.

This leadership role offers fast-track advancement toward Principal within two years and opportunities to lead projects and client engagements. Responsibilities include running projects from design through construction, coordinating with architecture and MEP

Qualifications

Lead Mechanical Engineer PE - Cheyenne, WY (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to Lead our Cheyenne location. Successful candidates will have their PE License in Wyoming (or ability to gain reciprocity) with 6-15 years of experience in the HVAC and Plumbing Design field on Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare, and/or Mission Critical Facilities.

This is a leadership role with a fast track for advancement and opportunity to be promoted to Principal within 2 years.

Key Requirements

Seeking a Senior Engineer who can stand alone and work independently while we continue to staff the office.
Must be able to run projects from design through completion, lead client meetings, oversee junior staff, and ensure successful delivery of projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Design with Project Management experience and ability to assist with Business Development efforts.
Must possess excellent knowledge of Building Mechanical Systems and Mechanical National Codes, Standards, and Regulations
Revit Software Proficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited College or University
6-15 years of experience with an MEP or Engineering Consulting firm designing HVAC building systems on complex projects
Professional Engineering License, P.E. Required (EOR)
Proficient computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
High level of written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail.
Proven Project experience in Commercial, Public Sector, Educational (K-12 / Higher Education), Justice, and/or Civic Projects
Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction.
Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts, and detailed engineering reports and narratives.
Experience with direct client contact and fostering those relationships. Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process.
Actively engage in community and/or industry-specific organizations that will build the brand.

Duties

Performs involved and detailed design including system approach, equipment selection, mechanical room layout, and interface/coordination with clients.
Receives project assignments and design requirements from the firm's Principals and Associates.
Interfaces directly with clients and end users to understand and document expectations.
Leads the project during design and construction.
Completes project designs, drawings in 3D Revit and/or 2D CAD, site observations, specifications, calculations, equipment selection and application, and construction administration as necessary.
