  • Perform detailed structural analysis (static, dynamic, thermal) of mechanical components and assemblies using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other analytical methods.
  • Design and analyze deployable systems and mechanisms, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design and analysis processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and analysis.
  • Proven experience in robotics, automation, or mechatronics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis, including hand calculations and FEA.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA).
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with the design and analysis of reentry systems and hypersonic flight dynamics.
  • Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN).
  • Hands‑on experience with the assembly, integration, and testing of robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with composite materials and analysis.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industry.
