Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design next‑generation semiconductor etch equipment. You will perform stress analysis to validate designs and collaborate with outside vendors for fabrication.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and hands‑on experience with FEA, vacuum systems, and materials such as aluminum and ceramics. Experience with SolidWorks/Creo/UGNX/Inventor is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment desirable.
• Strong understanding of material properties for metals, plastics, ceramics.
• Experience with vacuum environment design and leak testing.
• Experience in FEA, thermal and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with heating and cooling systems and tolerance analysis.
• Reliability testing experience preferred.

Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering 8 years Semiconductor capital equipment experience UGNX experience,Will consider candidates with Solidworks, Creo, Inventor as well Understanding of material properties and machining rules of thumb for aluminum, plastics and brittle materials (Ceramics, quartz, etc.) Vacuum environment design experience (O-ring, vacuum fittings, helium leak check) Finite Element analysis (Thermal and Structural) Understanding of heating and cooling systems Tolerance stack analysis Reliability testing
