Proterra is seeking an experienced Design Engineer in Greer, SC to lead investigations and implement design improvements for battery products in production. You will use CATIA 3DExperience to create and modify data, develop technical plans, and manage ECOs, NCRs, SDRs, and ECRs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The role requires a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in product development, failure analysis, and 3D/2D CAD design.
This engineering position will provide design-focused support and technical issue resolution for our battery products that are entering or are already in production. As a member of the Sustaining Engineering organization, you will work in a lead role on the investigation and improvement of products with key cross functional teams to perform failure analysis, identify design improvements, create the design updates, test to requirements, and document and release to manufacturing. Implementation of design changes will follow our engineering change order (ECO) and change management (CRB/CCB) processes.
