Mass General Brigham Digital is in the midst of making large investments to modernize our technical stack and build out our future state data ecosystem. Standing up our master data services program is a key component in this body of work and given provider data is critical in many different aspects of data and analytics, it makes sense that this is the initial domain the Master Data Management (MDM) team is focused on initially with Employee, Researchers, Supplies, Vendors etc. as potential domains to follow. The Senior MDM Cloud Data Architect will be a key member on the MDM team and will work in Erwin to develop and maintain the physical and logical data model from various data sources including but not limited to our Credentialing and Human Resource systems and work with other scrum team members on ingestion of said data into Profisee, a cloud based PAAS application hosted in our Azure Kubernetes environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires occasional local travel to MGB sites, vendors, and/or conferences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in architecture, designing, developing, and delivering technology solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on MDM experience in the areas of MDM Strategy, Architecture, Design, Integration, Data Quality and Data Governance.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in designing, configuring, and deploying MDM solutions on a leading platform (e.g., Profisee, Reltio, Stibo).
- Must have strong experience with SQL.
- Experience working with FHIR & HL7 standards.
- Experience in data integration (batch and/or API), data quality and data integrity concepts.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, enterprise source systems and of systems that consume master & reference data, including CRM, ERP and Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence - Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must have strong data modeling skills (Relational & dimensional) and thorough understanding of data warehousing architectural approaches.
- Strong understanding of key master entity/domain such as Individuals (Consumer, HCP, Patient, Employee.), Organizations (Customer/Client, Supplier), Product, Locations, Assets etc. and the challenges typically involved in implementing MDM for that entity/domain.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills ability to understand current systems and propose new architecture by identifying gaps & flaws.
- Excellent consultative skills, understanding business needs and translating those needs to technical requirements and solutions.
- Strong creative problem solving with ability to craft solutions to meet the wide range of business needs across the organization.
- Adept at establishing trusted relationships at all levels across the organization and collaborating across multi-functional teams.
- Ability to understand current systems and propose new architecture by identifying gaps & flaws.
- Understands how data is used to support analytical and/or operational reporting.
- Understands MDM tool architecture, functions, features.
- Flexibility, diplomacy, and problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including senior business and clinical leaders and executives.

Hybrid Onsite Flexible working model required, 1-3x a week onsite.
Weekly travel to MGB Office Somerville, and MGB local sites as needed.
M-F Eastern Business Hours required.
