General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) Hampton site is seeking a Sr Material Planner/Scheduler to support production through planning and tracking material needs for schedules. You will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with purchasing, and resolve material issues to maintain on-time delivery.

The role requires an associate degree with 5–7 years of experience (or equivalent) and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education/Experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Provides support by planning and tracking material needed for production schedules.
  • Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture products.
  • Works to resolve and takes corrective action for materials issues impacting production schedules while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
  • Analyze, plan, schedule, and initiate procurement actions.
  • Ensures materials are cost effective.
  • Assists in determining and ensuring the quality of materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
