Qualifications

  • Experience: 7 years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, or statistical/business analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, and value stream management.
  • Strong understanding of Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Access, Project).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in multifunctional teams.
  • Fundamental understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and the impact of demand fluctuations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Operations, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Manufacturing Models/Plans for Every Part (PFEP) to achieve market-winning lead times for assigned product lines and regions.
  • Monitor site execution of PFEPs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Use SIOP data, win/loss analysis, and team collaboration to optimize PFEPs, ensuring alignment with business objectives for lead times and inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to adjust forecasts based on market dynamics, new product launches, and large project buys.
  • Align demand forecasts with supply chain capabilities, capacities, and lead times.
  • Analyze gaps in forecasting methodologies and implement solutions to minimize variability between projections and actuals.
  • Identify and address gaps in material and capacity planning to ensure alignment with demand and achievement of key business objectives (e.g., OTD, inventory turns, variable costs).
  • Lead SIOP processes for assigned sites, identifying risks and opportunities related to backlog, sales plans, capacity, and supply chain.
  • Evaluate and resize PFEPs as needed, updating Material Replenishment Systems (MRS) and monitoring execution through audits and exception reports.
  • Establish effective communication across the supply chain to ensure seamless information flow and alignment with sales forecasts.
  • Support value stream linkage initiatives and contribute to the development of marketing and supply chain strategies.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to close business, process, and performance gaps.
  • Develop and communicate metrics to monitor actual vs. planned performance, ensuring compliance with SIOP policies.
  • Audit processes and tools to ensure alignment with best practices and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Leverage the Crane Business System and personal expertise to drive standardized, demand-driven best practices.

Job Summary

The Sr. Master Scheduler will lead and enhance the Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning (SIOP) process at Crane Aerospace & Electronics. This role is critical in achieving key objectives such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery (OTD) to meet business model lead-time targets for assigned product lines. The Senior Master Scheduler will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between demand, supply chain capabilities, and business goals.

Sr. Master Scheduler Essential Functions
Product Line Inventory Strategy Development
  • Lead the development of Manufacturing Models/Plans for Every Part (PFEP) to achieve market-winning lead times for assigned product lines and regions.
  • Monitor site execution of PFEPs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

  • Master’s degree (MS/MBA) preferred.
  • CPIM and CSCP certifications are highly desirable.

Salary range: $106,200 - $141,900. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
