Job description

About Engine

Engine is the all-in-one travel and spend management platform trusted by 38K+ businesses and groups representing 1.2M+ travelers. We're the retailer and the rails of business travel, the fastest-growing company in travel tech, built on a decade of proprietary technology, supply, and pricing no one else can replicate. Other travel and AI companies run on our infrastructure to book real trips, hold rates, and move payments, without building any of it themselves. We built it, AI-forward at every layer, from how travelers book to how the rails run. That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026). We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar. Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.

About The Role

The Sr Marketing Operations Specialist is a marketing professional who will play a vital role in supporting and optimizing our marketing technology stack, executing campaigns, maintaining data hygiene, and ensuring smooth operational alignment across the marketing function. As a key member of Engine's Marketing Operations team (under the Revenue Operations division), you will partner closely with marketing, sales, and the rest of the revenue operations team to drive exceptional execution of growth initiatives and pipeline growth.

Responsibilities
  • Campaign Operations: Set up, test, and deploy marketing campaigns, including email, webinars, and events using our marketing automation platform (Customer.io). This includes building and coding emails using HTML and Liquid code.
  • Data Management: Maintain accuracy and cleanliness of marketing data within Salesforce and Customer.io; manage lead capture, enrichment workflows, and routing using Clay and Cargo.
  • Technology Support: Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot our core marketing technology stack, including Customer.io (email automation), Salesforce (CRM), Clay and Cargo (data enrichment and activation), and Tray.io (workflow automation).
  • Reporting & Analytics: Support monthly and ad hoc marketing performance reporting, campaign analysis, and dashboard management.
  • Process Improvement: Document and help streamline processes for campaign operations, lead management, and attribution.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with growth, sales, and revenue operations to align on campaign execution, pipeline quality, and programs impact.
Expectations
  • Learn and master our marketing automation, CRM, and related marketing tech in your first 45 days.
  • Consistently execute campaign setup, QA, and launch with a high level of accuracy and timeliness from a templatized approach ensuring repeatability and scale and speed.
  • Proactively surface data quality or process issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, showing initiative and accountability in all communications and project work.
  • Demonstrate ownership for assigned tasks and mature project management skills (task tracking, meeting deadlines).
  • Outcome-focused: build quickly, iterate swiftly and be deliverable-driven.
  • Speed is in our DNA so jumping right in and sharing insights, ideas and solutions is expected.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within 45 days: Full working knowledge of Customer.io and Tray.io; independently executing campaign builds and QA.
  • Within 90 days: Owning at least one automation workflow end to end in Tray.io and maintaining clean, reliable data flows between Salesforce and Customer.io.
  • Ongoing: Campaign launches are executed on time, with high accuracy and minimal rework; email modules are scalable and reusable.
  • Ongoing: Proactively identifying process gaps and proposing solutions without being asked — a self-starter who drives improvements independently.
  • Ongoing: Trusted cross-functional partner to growth, sales, and revenue operations with strong stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, analytics, or a related field (or relevant internship/work experience).
