Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Technician for a 12‑hour rotating shift at our Framingham, MA facility. You will perform complex manufacturing tasks under GMP guidelines, maintain documentation, uphold safety, and support continuous improvement across the production floor.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or biotech-related degree with relevant experience; familiarity with DeltaV and other automation systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of cGxP manufacturing experience or related internship.
  • Biotech Certificate or Associate's degree with 6 months of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotech or related field may be considered with relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, aseptic techniques, and document control.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe working environment and reports incidents to Manufacturing management.
  • Follows GMPs and procedures; completes production documentation.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in process areas and ensures supplies are stocked.
  • Performs SOP revisions and work order generation.
  • Interacts with QA, Manufacturing Engineering, MSIT, and Validation.
  • Mentors less experienced operators and supports continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintains a safe working environment and reporting of incidents/accidents to Manufacturing management.
  • Effectively demonstrates understanding of GMPs and how they apply to specific responsibilities.
  • Follows verbal and written procedures in operating production and equipment and performing processing steps; accurately completes appropriate production documentation.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in process area.
  • Ensures production area is stocked with supplies.
  • Performs SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) revisions and work order generation.
  • Interacts with other support functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, MSIT, Validation, etc.
  • Utilizes manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and affect positive change.
  • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical operations.
  • Effectively utilizes Microsoft Office applications.
  • Mentors less experienced operators.
  • Performs in process analytical testing.
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of automation systems (INFOR, MES, ERP, DeltaV).
  • Demonstrates general knowledge and practice of aseptic techniques.
Continuous Improvement
  • Contributes to continual improvement of all manufacturing documentation (SOPs, EWIs, MBRs, OJTs) to ensure they are current, accurate, and clear.
  • Supports plant floor continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED with 1+ years of experience in a cGxP manufacturing environment, OR
  • Biotech Certificate or Associate's degree in a related field with 6 months of experience (including internships, co-ops, or laboratory work)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biotech or related fields with 6 months of educational experience will be considered.
  • Effectively uses process automation systems to operate production processes (i.e. DeltaV).
The Fine Print
  • For influenza production roles (excluding FFIP roles): candidate must be able to be receive influenza vaccine which is required for building access
  • For aseptic area production roles (excluding Flu production tech roles): candidate must be able to obtain and maintain current aseptic gowning qualification
  • This position may be required to be moved or temporarily flexed to another department or building within the FFIP operation due to business needs. Additionally, candidates should expect to work in multiple buildings. Some over-time/off shift work hours may be required based on business needs. We will attempt to provide as much advance notice as possible, two weeks where applicable if any such change is needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and bend/lift/move objects as part of the job.

Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day (with occasional breaks)
