Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering professional who works independently to set and achieve objectives within their area of responsibility. The role involves influencing process and planning decisions by leveraging expertise in Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the quality leader in the organization by participating in the Material Review Board, supporting certification audits (e.g., ISO 9001:2015), advocating for a process-focused approach, and driving culture change towards proactivity.
- Collaborate with Operations to review and develop robust processes, leading quality meetings to evaluate and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze data to identify quality issue trends, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead quality audits of finished products and testing units, report findings, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Manage the process for non-conforming materials to reduce scrap and rejects.
- Develop programs to reduce scrap, improve first pass yield, and lower costs of poor quality.
- Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations on engineering change orders and deviations.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and improve data reporting systems.
- Develop and maintain quality evaluation and control systems.
- Analyze nonconformities and design problems to recommend corrective actions (CAPA).
- Utilize PPAP elements to manage risk in product development.
- Ensure process changes and work transfer meet requirements, including PPAP acceptance.
- Review process control documentation for compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing or industrial fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Quality and Six Sigma certifications (e.g., QCT, CQPA, CQE, CQPA).
- Knowledge of ISO and IEC regulations, design controls, and risk management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in technical writing, data analysis (CPK, statistical analysis), and familiarity with tools like JDE, SAP, Minitab, Excel, and Power BI.
- Ability to lead projects, work under stress, and collaborate effectively.
Additional Preferences
- Further certifications and knowledge of ISO/IEC regulations preferred.
