Job summary

6AM City, LLC in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Sr Manufacturing / Production Operator. You will assemble electronic and mechanical kits, perform hand soldering, and conduct quality inspections in a precision-driven, clean manufacturing environment for defense applications.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in manufacturing, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to read diagrams and BOMs. This role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with a pay rate of $27.41 per hour and requires

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, electronics, or related experience.
• Previous experience with hand soldering is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions, assembly drawings, and basic schematics.
• Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical kits, assemblies, and subassemblies following detailed work instructions.

• Perform hand soldering and cable assembly on electronic components.

• Perform basic electrical testing and visual quality inspections.
• Complete rework or repairs when necessary to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Accurately document work performed using manufacturing work order systems.

We're seeking detail-oriented Manufacturing / Production Operator to join a leading defense manufacturer in Colorado Springs. This role involves assembling electronic kits and components, hand soldering, performing quality inspections, and following detailed work instructions to support the production of high-quality products used in critical defense applications.

What You'll Do

• Must provide a High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Must provide a Birth Certificate during the hiring process.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

• Candidates may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must be eligible to obtain access to classified information.
