Job Description Summary
Manufacturing Quality Systems Engineer responsible for Administration, Execution, Observation, and Maintenance of the Edison Works Evendale Quality Management System(s). Also contributes to delivered hardware quality and shop quality assurance with heavy interaction and association with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Shop Operations, and Shop Leadership teams in both a New Product Introduction (NPI) and Production environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Administration, Execution, Observation, and Maintenance of the Edison Works Evendale Quality Management System(s)
- Ownership of the Risk Assessment Process
- Ownership of the Quality Management Review Process
- Ownership of the Internal Audit Program (Product and Process) including leading follow through and close out of Corrective and Preventative Actions
- Broad collaboration with other Quality System/ISO Representatives across the company
- Ensure conformance to specification through daily management and application of Quality tools and Continuous Improvement/kaizen activity.
- Author and maintain Quality Management Policies and Procedures in support of Manufacturing Shop Operations.
- Perform Audits (Product, Workstation, Special Process) of a shop in support of the Quality Management System.
- Compiling, Reviewing, Approving, and Maintaining First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
- Review and Approval of Manufacturing Work Instructions and other Manufacturing Technical Documentation.
- Facilitation and ownership of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for hardware and Quality Systems issues
- Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. May lead cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement on projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Develops strong networks and is able to work through complex issues to build consensus with the team.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Uses judgment and has ability to propose and lead different solutions outside of set parameters but with limited guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree accreditedcollege or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control in an ISO9001 and/or AS9100 environment)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in an ISO9001 and/or AS9100 environment
- Must be a US Citizen
- Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security clearance
