We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Fixture Design Engineer to join our R&D team, contributing to the development of next-generation robotic platforms that aim to revolutionize healthcare. This role involves working on the transition of complex electro-mechanical assemblies from prototypes to verification testing and pilot production, in collaboration with manufacturing engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop production fixtures for complex electromechanical sub-systems for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Create fixture requirements, design descriptions, and maintenance documentation.
  • Perform fixture qualification and verification in partnership with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Support the development of assembly and testing processes for capital equipment and disposables.
  • Develop fixtures and testing protocols for component inspection.
  • Manage multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of electromechanical and consumable R&D engineering experience, with at least 5 years in medical devices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Robotics, or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks/PDM.
  • Expertise in DFM, DFA, DFT, fixture design, and verification for medical devices.
  • Experience with electromechanical systems development, fixture development, and process validation.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools like Minitab is preferred.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, proficient in MS Office.
