Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Electronics) to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and optimize production processes for electronic products across our operations. You will drive efficiency, quality and cost reductions while guiding continuous improvement initiatives.

The role collaborates with R&D, Design, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure smooth product introductions and scalable manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, industrial, mechanical engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering in electronics; 3–5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes (PCBA SMT/Through-hole).

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee a team of manufacturing engineers with leadership and performance management.
• Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing processes for prototypes to mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean, Six Sigma, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Collaborate with R&D, Design, Supply Chain and Quality for successful NPI.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources for engineering projects.
• Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949 and safety standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings.

Job Summary

The Sr Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Electronics) will lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers to optimize production processes for electronic products, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across Jabil's operations. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing engineering function.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee a team of manufacturing engineers, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to achieve departmental goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for a wide range of electronic products, from prototyping to mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other advanced manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Design, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure seamless product introduction (NPI) and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for engineering projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation solutions to increase efficiency and capabilities.
• Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Represent the manufacturing engineering team in cross-functional meetings and stakeholder discussions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the electronics industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in managing and developing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, including PCBA assembly (SMT, Through-hole), testing, final assembly, and functional testing.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other process improvement tools.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to electronic manufacturing.
