Job summary

RedBrick Staffing seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead floor equipment optimization, drive lean initiatives, and ensure cGMP and ISO 13485 compliance. You will manage multiple engineering projects, mentor teammates, and partner cross-functionally to improve processes and product delivery timelines.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, 3+ years in project management, and hands-on experience with CNC, automation, robotics, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in lean environments.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with floor manufacturing equipment (CNC, Mills, Automation, Robotics, 3D, etc.).
  • Experience with SolidWorks, MiniTab/JMP.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, cGMP, and Med Device regulations; familiarity with ISO 13485.
  • Experience creating and implementing SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain manufacturing floor equipment – evaluate processes and equipment to identify areas of improvement.
  • Partner with Mfg. team to resolve issues/concerns, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to process efficiency, product quality, safety compliance, and cGMPs – create and implement processes/SOPs.
  • Manage manufacturing engineering projects and ensure timelines are met – planning, executing, troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior employees – foster a team oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Support NPD/NPI initiatives and provide guidance on DFMA.
  • Support production schedules and product delivery timelines.
  • Prepare KPIs reports for leadership.
  • Support and troubleshoot complex product performance issues.
  • Review engineering changes to meet spec requirements.
  • Delegate tasks as needed.
  • Ensure quality standards – ISO 13485.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support organizational goals.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mfg., Industrial Engineering, or similar
  • 7+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience – lean mfg. environment experience required
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Hands-on experience with floor mfg. equipment (CNC, Mills, Automation, Robotics, 3D, etc.)
  • Experience with Solidworks, MiniTab/JMP, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, cGMP, & Med Device regulations - Familiarity with ISO 13485
  • Experience creating and implementing SOPs preferred
