Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract in Westbrook/Scarborough, ME. This onsite role focuses on automation, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC), root cause analysis, and change management, with experience in FDA/ISO/GMP regulated settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, root cause analysis, and change management.
• Medical device manufacturing experience is required.
• Experience working in FDA, ISO, GMP, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects and equipment upgrades to improve throughput and quality.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems and controls.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methods to reduce defects and variability.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO/GMP standards in all manufacturing activities.
