Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in Sunnyvale, CA, is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Associate to execute and optimize oligonucleotide production workflows on-site. You will train team members and drive SOP adherence, safety, and quality standards while supporting CAPA investigations and process improvements.

The role emphasizes manufacturing expertise, regulatory awareness (GMP/ISO), and the ability to deliver high-quality products on schedule in a fast-paced biotechnolgy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience with nucleic acid manufacturing, DNA amplification, purification or sequencing workflows.
• Proven ability to follow and improve SOPs with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute and troubleshoot oligonucleotide production workflows, reagent preparation, and manufacturing processes to meet throughput, quality, and on-time delivery KPIs.
• Train, mentor, and onboard new team members while promoting adherence to SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead or support investigations related to process deviations, quality events, equipment issues, and CAPAs.

The Senior Manufacturing Associate is responsible for executing and optimizing manufacturing processes for oligonucleotide products while serving as a technical resource for the production team. This role applies advanced laboratory and manufacturing expertise to support high-quality, on-time delivery of products, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and assist in the training and development of team members.

This position reports to the Production Manager and is part of the operations group located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Execute and troubleshoot oligonucleotide production workflows, reagent preparation, and associated manufacturing processes to meet throughput, quality, and on-time delivery KPIs.
• Train, mentor, and onboard new team members while promoting adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead or support investigations related to process deviations, quality events, equipment issues, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and other duties as assigned.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience with nucleic acid manufacturing, DNA amplification, purification and sequencing workflows, or similar life science production processes
• Experience following and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with an exceptional level of attention to detail

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to work in a laboratory/manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb

It Would Be a Plus If You Also Possess

• Lean Six Sigma Certifications (eg, Green Belt) and process improvement experience
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., GMP, ISO, or similar quality systems)
• Experience with automated liquid handlers

The annual salary range for this role is $35-40/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
