Job summary

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager to partner with the VAS Business Strategy & Planning leadership, guiding multi-year strategy, portfolio diagnostics, and major initiatives. The role involves coordinating with senior stakeholders and delivering data-driven insights to accelerate growth.

You will own planning activities, OKR formulation, and board/exec materials, while shaping strategic recommendations and ensuring timely execution in a dynamic payments environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 3+ years in management consulting or corporate strategy.
• Extensive experience in Payments and Financial Services.

Job Description

The role will support the Senior Director of VAS Business Strategy & Planning across a range of strategy, operations, and planning activities. Time spent on these areas will shift based on business needs. The Senior Manager will own projects / workstreams of key strategic initiatives (e.g., long-range strategy development, portfolio diagnostics, client and leadership forums) and ensure the Value-Added Services leadership team is equipped with the data and insights to meet growth imperatives.

Strong candidates are versatile team players who learn fast, have high EQ and IQ, and carry a demonstrated record of driving workstreams while managing a multitude of senior stakeholders.

What we expect of you day-to-day:

• Lead workstreams / projects related to multi-year strategy development and assessments of significant opportunities – including potential acquisitions – and threats. Manage day-to-day project / workstream activities to meet milestones and timelines.
• Structure and solve business problems by collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders. Organize and prioritize critical information, issues, and data to facilitate efficient decision making. Build out unique, creative, and impactful recommendations.
• Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional teams and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way.
• Design and manage major planning activities, which may include annual strategy development and objective and key results (OKR) formulation, ongoing business performance and resource allocation checkpoints, or various other activities such as reporting.
• Support the creation of materials for various meetings such as Board meetings, executive forums, and external client councils/forums.
• Proactively manage upwards to pre-empt critical business opportunities and challenges.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD), with 3+ years of experience in management consulting or corporate strategy
• Extensive experience in Payments and Financial Services
• Structured thinker with deep analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Outstanding collaboration, teamwork attitude, and ability to learn.
• Strong executive facing communication skills
• Advanced visual design skills that enable simple, elegant storytelling to internal and external audiences.
• Strong project management capabilities, with demonstrated success leading initiatives and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $169,100.00 to $ 270,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
