Job summary

Tapestry, Inc. is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to own Store Construction sourcing for Coach and Kate Spade New York. You will shape strategy, run RFx processes, and drive savings across global store builds.

You'll partner with design, architecture, and construction teams, manage supplier relationships, and mentor junior procurement professionals while delivering value across a high-volume project portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8-10 years in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Store Construction or related.
  • Strong experience in construction-related procurement categories.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and applying it to business challenges.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership across cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven negotiation and contract management experience.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and driving accountability.
  • Strong analytical capabilities including spend analysis and executive-ready reporting.
  • Strong leadership presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive progress across competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, and store construction processes is a plus.
  • Experience building and coaching procurement teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement strategy for Store Construction, Design and Architecture categories.
  • Partner with global and regional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies and support new stores, remodels, relocations, and rollouts.
  • Own and execute RFx events, bid analysis, supplier recommendations, negotiations, and awards.
  • Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, value creation, and supplier consolidation.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract management, including terms, pricing, and execution readiness.
  • Build relationships with general contractors, architects, millworkers, fixtures suppliers, installers, and related vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify value-generating opportunities.
  • Develop business cases quantifying savings and procurement impact.
  • Present strategies, recommendations, and savings to senior leadership.
  • Oversee sourcing workstreams and ensure timely execution and objectives.
  • Identify process improvements across intake, sourcing, approvals, contracting, and handoff.
  • Use spend data and market insights to improve decision-making.
  • Lead and develop procurement team members and establish governance.

  • Lead procurement strategy for Store Construction, Design and Architecture categories, balancing commercial value, project timelines, quality, risk, and stakeholder needs.
  • Partner with global and regional stakeholders to understand business priorities, align sourcing strategies, and support execution across new stores, remodels, relocations, and rollouts.
  • Own and execute sourcing initiatives, RFx events, bid analysis, supplier recommendations, negotiations, and final award recommendations.
  • Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, value creation, supplier consolidation, and broader procurement target initiatives.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract management, including commercial terms, pricing, scope alignment, service expectations, and execution readiness.
  • Build strong relationships with general contractors, architects, millworkers, fixture suppliers, installers, and other construction-related vendors.

  • Strong experience in construction-related procurement categories, including general contractors, architectural services, construction materials, store fixtures, furniture, millwork, lighting, flooring, installations, and related services.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology with the ability to apply structure while managing business exceptions pragmatically.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence Director, VP, and executive-level stakeholders across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and contract management experience, with strong commercial acumen and ability to drive measurable value.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and driving accountability across cost, quality, service, timeline, and performance expectations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including spend analysis, bid evaluation, business case development, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Strong leadership presence, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-framing skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and keep projects moving across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, quality management, shop drawings, and store construction execution preferred.

Base Pay Range

$115,000.00-$130,000.00
